How I became a Photographer

I’ve had a passion for art and creativity from a very young age. I vividly remember sitting for hours drawing Disney characters when I was only ten years old.

I came to a crossroads when it came time to decide on a career path. Taking the advice of family and friends, I decided a business degree was the safest bet, all the while longing for something with more of a creative flare.

After getting a bachelor of commerce degree, 15 years of corporate experience, getting married and having children it was then that I started to explore the art of photography.

After the birth of my second child, I purchased my first DSLR camera and started taking photography courses. I absolutely loved it and have been fortunate enough to pursue it ever since. I am a firm believer that loving what you do is truly the key to success.

A Few Fun Facts…

A Mom

I’m a mother of 3 boys ages 12, 10 and 7. They don’t keep me on my toes, they keep me sprinting. Like every parent, I’m constantly learning and growing along the way. I question myself and wonder if I’m doing the right thing. It started from the moment I was pregnant with my first child and it hasn’t left.

A Business Person

Working together with my husband in Construction and Real Estate has allowed me to expand my services and expertise into the business sector by providing high-quality professional headshots, branding, and real estate images.

A Weekend Warrior (most weekends!)

I love to keep active and work out regularly. If it wasn’t so bad for my knees, I’d run everyday if I could. I also love to try to eat and cook as healthily as possible. Although, I have a strong sweet tooth that fights me every step of the way.

Giving Back

In 2020, I helped my son run a t-shirt campaign to raise funds for Markham Stouffville Hospital’s COVID-19 fund. We managed to raise $2,500. It was such a great experience for both of us. I’m thinking of new ways to continue to give back on a regular basis.

Trying to Make Time Stand Still

I am constantly saying how “time flies”. I find it’s been going even faster since I became a mother. I look at my children and can’t believe how big they are. As much as we try to absorb every moment it’s just impossible to hold onto it all.

Capturing Timeless Moments for You

I love meeting and learning about my clients and it is the best compliment when I see them again for another session or milestone. Through the lens, I watch their family grow and I feel privileged to capture those moments and leave a tiny impression on their lives.
